5 Cakes We Loved Decorating

Can you believe we're already halfway through 2024? Time sure does fly when you're baking up a storm! We're thrilled to share some of our favorite cake designs from this year so far. Each one is as unique and special as the wonderful people they were created for. If you're in Lawrenceville, NJ, or anywhere in Central NJ, and you're looking to surprise a special someone with a custom cake, look no further! Head to our orders page for a taste of what we can create for you!

Pooh bear cake with honey pot

Pooh baby shower cake

To craft this delightful tiered cake, we sprinkled in a mix of creative techniques. We brought the lovable bear and tree to life in a charming 2D edible image style, while perching a 3D fondant honey pot overflowing with 'honey' on top. And don't forget the hand-painted grass around the bottom tier, adding a dreamy watercolor effect to tie it all together.

Sushi roll cake

Sushi cake

We love making cakes that look like other foods. (Check out our previous blog post about foods in disguise.) Crafting our sushi cake was a breeze, but the end result is truly a feast for the eyes. Take a bite and you might just be convinced you're munching on a real sushi roll! Feeling brave? We dare you to pair a slice with a dollop of wasabi for an adventurous flavor combo!

Cake with motorcycle and flames

Ridin' hot motorcyle cake

Get ready to hit the road with our ridin' hot motorcycle cake, specially crafted for a die-hard Harley enthusiast! We love adding unique touches to our creations, and this one was no exception. Picture this: a fierce fondant motorcycle stealing the show, while vibrant flames made of tinted rice paper dance in shades of yellow and orange. The translucent quality of the flames gives this cake the ultimate fiery flair, perfect for any speed demon's celebration!

Cake decorated like a garden with bench, plants and pond

Garden landscape cake

This cake was celebrating a graduation in landscape architecture. Its faux wooden bench, potted plants and koi pond are simply charming. That koi pond was made with edible candy glass which naturally had some bubbles in it making it perfect to resemble water.

Pink ruffly birthday cake

Simply sweet birthday cake

We just adore this cake! With its vibrant pink and teal hues, adorable ruffle detailing, and playful font, this cake has stolen our hearts. Who says your custom birthday cake needs to be overly elaborate to be absolutely stunning? Sometimes, it's the simple touches that truly make a statement.
